After experiencing miserable first trimester, the second trimester was a blessing. The nausea was finally gave way, the vomitting almost entirely gone. By this time I can almost eat anything, just like before the pregnancy. As the result I gained weight of almost 4kg each month. The obgyn finally gave a warning. She said to avoid getting too much weight too fast for there was a risk of having pre-eclampsia. She then monitor my blood preassure making sure that there was no hypertension and later on checked for signs of unusual swelling. The obgyn then told me that for the rest of the pregnancy I should only gain half a kilogram (1 pound) for each week.
